I would consider myself addicted to Mexican food (eating at least twice a week) and I want to share with you my four favorite Mexican restaurants near Emory’s Campus based on different criteria. Make sure to visit one of these when in Atlanta and you will not be disappointed!
First is the closest restaurant: Tin Lizzy’s.
Tin Lizzy’s is a franchised restaurant located at Emory Point which is easily walkable and on the bus route for Emory Students. The pricing is decent and has all sorts of specialty tacos to choose from! Every time I visit I order the buffalo chicken, my favorite. Also, the Beach Bum Margaritas are to die for, so yummy and you can hardly taste the tequila!

Second is a fun local spot: Panchos.
This is my favorite restaurant to visit, going almost once a week. The staff is so nice and always the same, so you start to become friends after a while. Panchos also has rotating horses on the ceiling which always becomes a conversation starter. My favorite things to order are the frozen mango margaritas with sugar and the grilled shrimp tacos. They have many tropical flavored margaritas that are a hit for all the loyal customers. Additionally, they have an outdoor patio that is a great atmosphere on a warm day.

Thirdly is an upscale place: Pure.
If you are okay with driving, Pure is located in Brookhaven and has a very upscale and fun atmosphere. The restaurant has a rooftop bar and seating that attracts the 20 something crowd. The place is always busy and creates a more hip-bar scene vibe than most local Mexican restaurants. The fourth and last place is La Parilla at Toco Hills.
This restaurant, while franchised, does not feel like it and is close to campus for students. The food is good, especially the street tacos. Plus, they have blackberry margaritas! It is a perfect place to go when you are running errands or meeting friends!
