A Day in the Life

Cycle to Stone Mountain
Wake up early and enjoy The Stone Mountain Trail that stretches from Centennial Olympic Park, through Piedmont Park in downtown Atlanta, along the Freedom Parkway trail and ends at Stone Mountain. This 12-mile ride is an awesome way to explore the city! This path goes through Clarkston, a refugee resettlement area and one of the most diverse square miles in all of Atlanta. Stone Mountain is also a wonderful 1.3-mile-hike up to a breathtaking view of the city skyline.

Farmers Markets
Next, head over to the Dekalb Farmers Market which has affordable produce and authentic ethnic foods from all over the world. If normal grocery stores don’t have what you crave, it’s a guarantee that this place will. Beware: the experience can be overwhelming on the weekends.

Walk the BeltLine
Spend the afternoon walking from Krog Street Market to Ponce City Market and experience many eating establishments and shops along the way. This outdoor space circles the core of the city’s in-town neighborhoods. (Bike rentals are possible at Ponce City Market).

Soul Vegetarian 2
A hop, skip and a jump away from the BeltLine, Soul Vegetarian 2 is a must visit. No matter if you are vegan, vegetarian, or carnivorous—this food can be enjoyed by all. My favorite is their country fried “steak” and dairy free macaroni and cheese!

Yoga in the Park
After dinner head over to the Old Fourth Ward Skate park for Yoga in the Park on Sunday evenings. This all-level yoga class is a perfect way to enjoy Atlanta weather!

Disclaimer: I always like to be on the move and stay active, but even doing just two of these things in one day would be a fun day in Atlanta!
