For the first few months after moving to Atlanta, I did not explore eating, as I had become accustomed to cooking my own food over the last year. Those few months were filled with studying, exercise, and sight seeing, but it took me a while to get out and explore all of the great food options that Atlanta has to offer! One place that I stumbled upon by association with another food-loving friend was a place called Ponce City Market (also mentioned in here). Not far from campus, Ponce City Market is a hub for several different food vendors who serve amazing varieties of food. Coming to a new place can sometimes be a challenge, and it can be hard to move away from the food that you’re used to, the Chik-Fil-A’s and the Chipotle’s, especially when you come from another part of the country or another country altogether! Whether you head over to Ponce City Market, Krog Street Market, or roam the many neighborhoods of Atlanta, I feel every one is guaranteed to find a place that they absolutely love!
A few popular places that I have tried so far are….
H&F Burger, a place known for their amazing burgers and shakes even has two stands at the Braves Stadium, Turner Field.

W.H. Stiles Fish Camp, an amazing fish shack that serves a variety of seafood options for the seafood lover.
And Marrakesh, which serves great pretty healthy Mediterranean food (Don’t forget about Mediterranean Grill around the corner from campus).
I have heard many great things about so many other places in Atlanta and have quite a few more to try! But so far, my experiences at Ponce City Market and other restaurants has been amazing! I suggest going with friends and you’re guaranteed to have an amazing time, with fun, laughter and of course food!
