Top 10 Places to Eat During Your Time at Rollins

These are my top 10 favorite restaurants I’ve eaten at during my time in Rollins. Atlanta has some great food, and here are my recommendations!

  1. Antico’s Pizza

This place has a reputation as one of the best pizza places in the country. It’s located over by Georgia Tech, but it’s a worthwhile trek! Go for the classic margherita pizza.

  1. Savage Pizza

Savage Pizza reminds me of Pizza Planet from Toy Story. With cool punk décor and great food, you have to check it out. It’s located in little five points – which is a very neat place to explore.

  1. Brick Store Pub

My favorite pub grub can be found in Brick Store Pub in downtown Decatur. They have a wide assortment of Georgian beer, nice sandwiches, and it’s walking distance to a lot of other cool things. I have been here for dates, work celebrations, and even professional mentor meetings!

  1. Le Petit Marche

Oui reine! I actually have not eaten anything French here, but they make a mean tuna melt. It’s in Kirkwood, which has some cool places to explore.

  1. Rio Steakhouse and Bakery

My former Brazilian lover took me here – am I allowed to write that? Whatever – it is super authentic, all-you-can-eat steak and sides. Everyone here speaks Portuguese so roll in confidently. It’s far away from anything, but definitely worth it.

  1. Rise n Dine

Right in Emory Commons is my favorite breakfast place in Atlanta. This diner has some wonderful food – I suggest the sausage and breakfast potatoes.

  1. Hattie B’s

Nashville hot chicken at its finest! Incredible tasting food. Prepare to be incapacitated for a few hours.

  1. Food Terminal

Asian Fusion done right. They have a large menu of many different delicious items. It’s located on Buford highway, which has more international restaurants than you could try in a lifetime.

  1. Sweet Hut

Owned by the same people who created Food Terminal, Sweet Hut has the best Asian breakfast pastries in town at a very reasonable price. The BIOS department has held two Sweet Hut breakfasts to celebrate the end of classes during my time at Rollins. Also, they are open late if you need a good study spot!

  1. Amelie’s

Speaking of study spots, Amelie’s is a really cool French bakery café with some bomb croissants. It is my latest favorite place I have eaten, and I try to go back frequently. I do a lot of work hyped up on their black tea, and then reward myself with a pastry (the s’mores croissant is great).

Living in Atlanta is wonderful, and one of the best parts about the city is the food scene. Try to make it to some of these places if you ever come for a visit!
